How easy is it to broadcast internationally?

        It can be as easy as recording a message on cassette, compact disc or digital audio file and

        forwarding the program to the stations. Or, if you are currently producing a program it can

        be as easy as making a copy of the program you currently produce and forwarding it to the

        stations.

Do I have to be a large and nationally recognized ministry to take part in an International

Outreach?

        No.  Ministries of all sizes, large and small, partner with Pan American Broadcasting in

How much will it cost my ministry to broadcast on the various stations?

        Broadcast rates very depending upon the power of the station, the size of your

        potential audience and the time of day your program airs.  Rates can range from

        under $30 to over $100 for a 15-minute weekly (one time per week) program.  Some

        of our most popular and effective stations are in the $39 to $69 range.

Why should I broadcast on a shortwave station?

        · You will reach millions of people at one time with one station

        · You will reach people within countries where your program would not be aired on

          local facilities due to religious, political, economic and/or social-cultural barriers

What will Pan American Broadcasting do for my ministry?

        Once you commit to working with Pan American Broadcasting we will take care of all the

        details for you.  We will establish your broadcast on the particular stations, make

        payments to the stations for services rendered, take care of any foreign exchange

        conversions, handle all station correspondence, and take care of any other matters that

        may present themselves.  All you will have to do is prepare your program material and

        forward it to the stations.

        all times during our relationship with you.

How do I know that my programs are being aired on the stations?

        The stations provide us with Certificates Of Performance (CP's) on a monthly basis. 

        These documents are legal verification that your program was aired at the date and

        time specified on your contract for the appropriate length of time.

        You may also receive mail from your many listeners.  This provides you with further

        reassurance that your programs are being aired.

Will I revive mail directly from my listeners?

        Mail can be sent to you directly by your listeners to the address you provide during your

        program.  Or, listeners may send mail to you in care of the station and then the station

        will forward the mail to us and we, in turn, will forward your mail to you.

Does little or no listener mail response mean that the station is not a good Outreach?

        No.  There are areas of the world where people do not write very often.  This often

        is a result of cultural differences, lack of education (illiteracy) and/or fear of persecution.

        Poverty too can be a barrier as it can be very expensive for people to write and then

        mail a letter to a ministry in the United States.  It's important to know that it can cost

        up to one day's wages for someone in a third world country to mail a letter to different

        parts of the world.

How do I know that my listeners will understand my English language program?

        Our goal is to provide ministries with stations broadcasting to or within countries

        where English is one of the national languages and/or where the population has an

        understanding of the English language.  It is important to note that English is a universal

        language (whether it be a primary or secondary language,) therefore you will reach an

        audience that understands English throughout most areas of the world.

What if my program is in a foreign language?

        We have placed a number of non-English language programs (Spanish, French, German,

        Arabic, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, and others) on stations in the past.  We will be

        glad to assist you in finding a station that meets your language needs.

Standard contract length is for a one year period; does this mean that I am "locked in"

for one year if for some reason my circumstances change?

        Absolutely not.  Our goal is to keep you on the air for as long as possible so that you

        can achieve the most effective Outreach and maximize the size of your listening audience. 

        However, we understand that circumstances may arise which necessitate a change in

        broadcast plans.  Therefore, our agreements require a minimum 13-week commitment

        and you may cancel at any time thereafter by providing a 28-day notice of cancellation
