Achieving A Major Milestone
Celebrating 70th
Anniversary
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – February
14, 2006 – Pan American
Broadcasting announces the achievement of a major milestone in the
Christian broadcasting industry...Celebrating 70 years of providing
ministries with easy and affordable radio and television
broadcasting opportunities both in the United States and abroad.
It was 1936 in the state of New
York where the founders of Pan American Broadcasting pioneered easy
and affordable broadcasting opportunities for ministries. Expanding
their family of broadcasters and radio stations throughout World War
II and the following years, the road was paved for exciting Outreach
possibilities. In 1984 the popular Radio Africa Network began
broadcasting from Africa to the people of Africa! 1990’s to 2006
presented additional broadcasting avenues for both ministry and
stations, thereby expanding the opportunity for the Gospel to be
heard in most areas of the world on over 200 stations!
Today, Pan American Broadcasting
is honored to play an integral role in reaching the world for Christ
and they value their relationships with the stations and the
ministries. Here are some comments presented by their
associates:
“We cannot claim as long a legacy
as Pan American Broadcasting, but I am happy to say that since our
station WRMI began broadcasting some 12 years ago it has been our
great pleasure to be associated with Pan American You are the
primary outside agency that we deal with, and we have always had a
wonderful and mutually beneficial relationship with Pan American.
All of you are such a pleasure to talk to and do business with and
we feel that you are a part of our family. All of us here at WRMI
join me in expressing our sincere congratulations on your 70th
anniversary and we thank you for your positive impact on
international broadcasting.”
Feb. 6, 2006 Jeff White, General
Manager, WRMI - Radio Miami International
“I would like to add my voice to
congratulating Pan American Broadcasting on their 70th anniversary.
With my own parents celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this
month - they married just after the end of the Second World War - I
have been very struck by the significance of relationships and
organizations which endure. Seventy years really is some
achievement!
When you think of 1936, our own
eighteen-year partnership with Pan American Broadcasting seems
rather trivial by comparison. Even radio was in black and white in
those days, wasn't it? It is long enough, though, to know this bunch
in San Jose as a friendly group of people, invariably thoroughly
efficient and with a professional ethic. All the best to everyone
involved with Pan American, past and present, and here's to the next
70 years.” February
7, 2006 Trevor Brook, Station Manager, Reflections Europe
“We at World Harvest Radio are
happy to congratulate Pan American Broadcasting in celebrating their
70th anniversary. We appreciate the integrity of this
agency and the high standards that they set for themselves. It is
reassuring to know that you can always count on this agency to bring
wonderful Christian programming to your network. We are so
pleased to work with their expert staff and we look forward to many
more years of partnership with them.”

“In the last 18
years of cooperation between NEXUS-International Broadcasting
Association and Pan American Broadcasting our work has grown, and
we’ve been blessed to provide together quality Christ-centered
broadcasting to the remote corners of Europe, North Africa, the
Middle East and to the world through Shortwave radio. Before the
unifications of East and West Germany, and the fall of the
Berlin Wall, our Shortwave services were just about the only media
that were able to bring a message of salvation into Eastern Europe.
Throughout the years
we’ve learned how to make progress in media and technology, and now
we bring the same message to the most remote and troubled countries
in the world: China, India, Pakistan, the Middle East, Afghanistan,
Africa and still to the hearth of a unified Europe and to the world
via Shortwave and the Internet. Radio and the Internet are the most
widely used media in many parts of the world, so it is important for
us to meet organizations like Pan American Broadcasting that promote
the use of our Association’s media to content producers in the
United States. Christian radio program producers, in fact, are often
locally-based inside their communities, and Pan American
Broadcasting has done an excellent job throughout the years in
making our radio services available to many organizations based in
the USA.
We praise the
efforts that Pan American Broadcasting
has made in carrying many
Christian programs to the attention of our audiences, and look
forward to many years of fruitful cooperation between our
organizations.”
February 9, 2006 Alfredo E. Cotroneo, CEO, NEXUS - International
Broadcasting Association, Milan, Italy
“Greetings!
A blessed 70th Anniversary to Pan American Broadcasting, wish you
more years to come from the management and staff of Supreme
Broadcasting System, (Philippines Christian Radio). Your radio
Christian ministries here in the Philippines touches more lives in
their spiritual aspect of life. We thank you so much. God
Bless your ministries."
As Pan American Broadcasting
celebrates its 70th anniversary the organization
expresses its heartfelt gratitude to those ministries and stations
they partner with. They look forward to achieving many more
milestones by helping ministries reach worldwide audiences via a
multitude of radio, television and Internet outlets.
